Freedom Annie

first time I have cross stitched on

osnaburg fabric

had to buy super magnified glasses

but I am enjoying something new

 this Annie is 18" tall

~

I don't know why her dress looks so bright 

at least on my computer it does

it is actually a dark royal blue

 I used a lot of my vintage items for her

her bodice is from a old doily

her buttons are vintage

and the trim on her loons is also from

an old napkin

 ~

I didn't cross stitch the entire pattern

just enough to make a heart

also added a tiny rusty start

~

First Annie for 2014

my first Annie for 2014 will be

up on Ebay Sunday evening

Annie's apron and heart ornie

were made from pieces of

vintage hand painted fabric

given to me by a dear friend

~

my factory is filled with lots of fabric 

and doilies and trims etc.

and these special pieces were just 

waiting for the right Annie

Vintage Baby Shoe Pin Cushion

inspiration for my newest Annie

is a pin cushion made from a vintage baby shoe

her beautiful apron also comes from vintage linen

thinking of Mother's Day

so I hand stitched her hang tag

with "Always & Forever"

she will be on Ebay this Sunday evening
