but knew it was perfect for Annie

 her little pink bird I made from wool felt

and her heart was hand stitched to match

 Annie has hand painted eyes

and a hand stitched face

her charm is a "made with love" heart

 the trim for Annie I found in one of 

my favorite shops for vintage linens

 unfortunately it is no more  :(

Rose Heart Annie

wanted to try something new this year 

so I am listing new Annies for sale here 

on my blog for about 5 days

then they go up on Ebay

Annie is my newest 18 inch doll

dressed in a pretty pink rose print

her hand stitched embroidered apron

was designed just her her

 her heart ornie was made

from a vintage crochet doily

and I crocheted the center rose

 her loons also have trim from

a vintage doily

my stash of doilies is huge

so I am starting to use more on Annies

 all my Annie's faces have 

hand painted eyes and freckles

their faces are hand stitched 

they have full heads of hair

all done by hand

Spring is here!

spring is finally here!

this little Annie is in "love"

 she is 16 inches tall

with tiny pink wool felt flowers

First Annie for 2014

my first Annie for 2014 will be

up on Ebay Sunday evening

~

Annie's apron and heart ornie

were made from pieces of

vintage hand painted fabric

given to me by a dear friend

~

my factory is filled with lots of fabric 

and doilies and trims etc.

and these special pieces were just 

waiting for the right Annie

First Christmas Annie for 2013

  doesn't everyone just love gingerbread men!  

~

Gingerbread Men Cookie Recipe
Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup packed dark brown sugar
1/3 cup molasses
1 egg
2 tablespoons water
2-2/3 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons ground ginger
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon each ground cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice
Directions:
in large bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy
beat in molasses, egg and water
combine flour, ginger, baking soda, salt,
cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice: add to creamed mixture
mix well
divide dough in half
refrigerate for 30 minutes or until easy to handle
on a lightly floured surface, roll out dough to 1/8 in thickness
cut with floured 4 inch cookie cutter
place 2 inches apart on a greased baking sheet

reroll scraps

bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes 

or until edges are firm

remove to wire racks to cool

decorate as desired

makes about 2 dozen gingerbread men  :)

Blue Feathers

new Annie this week is

"Blue Feathers"

~

 love, love trims so this Annie has a wide cotton trim

for dress and loons

~

also hand stitched her little heart ornie with flowers to

match her dress and added tiny beads

~

 felt she still needed something and then found

the perfect blue feathers

added some "sweet annie" to a tiny pitcher

and she is complete  :)

first off

I hope every mother had a wonderful Mother's Day

I am thanking God for the family he has given me

my wonderful husband and daughter

both work in the health care field and had to work

yesterday but that gave me the entire day

 in my factory making Annies!

~

I love adding trims to Annie's dresses

Butterfly Annie has a lovely eyelet trim I just bought

 ~

Raggedy Annie Angel came about 

because I had an 11 inch naked Annie 

in my factory for the past 3 months

just waiting to be special :)
